Ware Bowling Club’s Charity day took place on Saturday 7 September. It was supported by over 60 members who took part in various events. Pictured are:
- Roy and Mary Grethe who organised a guess the number of balloons in their 63 year old Ford Popular.- Bob Hammond with the target woods competition.- Members taking part in a putting competition on the Club’s 18 hole putting course (Club President, Jackie Mustoe, is second from the right).- Members of the kitchen team led by Graeme Indge (blue top) who prepared a BBQ for 66 people.- Members at the BBQ eagerly listening to the raffle prize numbers!
Everyone contributed most generously of their time and money. Player of the day was Simon Rees who won all his matches as did John Cleave who was a narrow second.
On the day a total of £1,010 was raised. The Club also raised £700 for cancer at an earlier Charity day in July.
