Ware Bowling Club wants everyone to be able to enjoy our club and to ensure all feel welcome and safe. Safeguarding is a key element in ensuring bowls is safe and fun for everyone. We are committed to following government and Bowls England guidelines on the safeguarding of children and adults and good working practice, including safer recruitment of volunteers and paid workers.

 All safeguarding concerns must be reported to the clubs Safeguarding Officer for advice. These include historic allegations and concerns relating to the current welfare/safeguarding of either adults or children in bowls, whether the issue is inside or outside of the sport.

Advice and guidance will be sought in all cases from the Bowls England lead safeguarding officer and a record maintained.

Bowls England’s Lead Safeguarding Officer will then advise if the concern should be dealt with through our disciplinary procedures (Regulation 9) or whether it will be dealt with under our safeguarding procedures when we work in collaboration with the Case Management Group to provide collective advice, recommendations and decision making.
